Hospital – OasisMed

Think about this, located in Manila, Philippines, a building concept which combines two functions, The healing power of a healthcare facilities and the convenience of the hospitality features. This is OasisMed

Hospital will be the main function of OasisMed, this will serve the patient’s diverse healthcare needs. The building is made of two half-rounded cone-shaped buildings facing each other with one taller than the other, This design have created a space between the two buildings that can be converted to a park with various multi-functional areas for recreation and shopping.

Inside the park, there will be a man-made lake. The lake will serve as storage of rainfall which will help supply the facility. There will also have an ample greenery that will help regulate air quality, temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors throughout the entire space.

OasisMed key design principles is the separation of high-contagious patients from low-contagious patients. The risk of cross-contamination will be minimized because of having two separate spaces within the facility for different patient types.

The structure aims to minimize it’s carbon footprint by less use of energy consumption. Solar glass will be installed on the outside walls of the building, gathering the sun’s energy to generate electricity and minimize dependency on traditional energy sources. The latest water and air permeable pavement will also be incorporated to the building, this will promote natural drainage and reduces water runoff.
